Our Story
Great Hope Organisation is a non-profit based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. We save and
transform the lives of people affected by cardiovascular (heart) disease.
We were founded in 2018 in memory of the late Malvin Svomho-Mpofu. What began as a family’s grief has grown into a mission: to make sure no child or adult in Zimbabwe dies simply because they cannot afford lifesaving heart care.

The Problem We Exist To Solve
Heart operations are among the most expensive medical procedures. They often cost USD 20,000 or more, and a child’s surgery can cost USD 15,000 or more before travel and accommodation. For most Zimbabwean families, that is out of reach. Great Hope bridges
the gap with financial, medical and psychosocial support for patients and their caregivers.
